Analogue Phasing Engine
At its core, Blue Cat’s Phaser models traditional analogue phasing behaviour using a multi-stage all-pass filter design, with support for anything from gentle movement to intense, swirling modulation.
You can configure up to 32 phasing stages, far exceeding classic hardware limits, allowing the effect to scale from smooth, musical sweeps into dense, complex phase textures.
The plugin offers fine control over wet signal phase and feedback phase, opening up sonic territory not possible on vintage units.
This extended control lets you sculpt the resonance and movement of the sweep with precision, whether you’re after subtle colouration or aggressive, resonant motion.
Stereo Depth & Modulation Control
On stereo material, the Spread control introduces phase offsets between left and right channels, creating wide, animated stereo phasing effects without destabilising the centre image.
Modulation is driven by a choice of sine or triangle LFO shapes, keeping movement smooth and predictable, with enough flexibility to suit rhythmic or free-flowing modulation styles.
Feedforward and feedback paths can be set in or out of phase, adding further tonal variation and allowing for both classic analogue sweeps and more modern, exaggerated phase behaviour.
